I have Movavi Video Editor. It's got all the options I need and isn't hard to use. I've got the whole suite which includes the screen recorder and video converter but the Editor is what you'd need.

I use Davinci Resolve, It is not the simplest of programs to use, however it is free to download, gets regular updates and is one of the best out there, the colour system is highly regarded.

Worth the pain if you are prepared to give it a go!

I also use Resolve but be warned that it needs a computer with good processing and memory power. The learning is steep but there are many training vids on You Tube. I suggest using the native Windows 10 video editor (in Photos app) first to get the basic ideas. Sorry, don’t know about Apple.

I normally use Adobe Premiere but was looking for something a little more lightweight.

I haven't tried it yet but a youtuber (https://www.youtube.com/user/rogopaul) recommended Powerdirector:

Might be worth a go. There is a desktop & mobile app.

Check out the Magix Vegas range. Vegas Studio or Vegas Pro

I use Vegas Pro (expensive, moderate learning curve required)

examples of my work using vegas can be found on this forum or youtube. Just search for ourtraveldiaries.

Things to consider are the format you want to work in mostly dicated by your devices format which inturn may limit what software to use. ie I film in 4k so I need my software that can read and render at the quality.

Best bet IMO is to start with a free option or trial first and see if it fits your needs.
