Have a problem with my NH 3.0lt Pajero
Cannot acceleration over 2500/3000 revs. Thought it may be a vacuum problem but all connection appear OK. Once revs get to around 3000 engine appears to choke, like the engine is lacking fuel but it does not stall backoff the revs and it keeps going. Anyone out there with any ideas
    Thanks in advance

Sounds fuel related maybe. Fuel filter? Fuel pump?

Are you getting a Check Engine Light? Sometimes a buggered AFM will give a rev cut like that.

My bet's a blocked fuel filter. Could also be a stuffed exhaust. A melted cat converter can really choke an engine.

mrbitchi & psproule got it right. It was the fuel filter

Took my Paj back to where I had it serviced two weeks ago.(At this service the fuel filter was replaced.) Apparently after a fair bit of testing they found the new fuel filter was faulty. It appears part of the filter broke away blocking the fuel line and causing the drop in fuel supply . A quick replacement , flush of the fuel lines and I'm away again. Will be keeping an eye on the filter from now on

            Thanks for the advise everyone
