  • In trying to upload a screen shot to help pixie au, I find a bug.

Using android-Nokia 8. When you hit image button, opens the pop up there you ever url or choose upload. On upload, I'm only able to choose either camera or downloads. Through downloads I was able to navigate to screenshots. Chose the image I wanted, hit the "upload to server" (or whatever it's called) and it said "invalid url" (can't remember exact term)

    • Disco Stu, I think that is most likely due to the forumnot being setup to host images - only setup to host as attachments it seems.

I’m no specialist on this so I could be completely wrong!

NJ it seems there is more than one way of composing and sending a PM.

        1. If you click on a member's profile you get the windows and buttons you describe
        2. If you go to the top of the screen and click on messages and select "send new message" you also get the windows and buttons you describe, but
        3. If you go to the top of the screen and click on messages and select "go to message centre", then click on "compose new" you get the windows and buttons I described.

Don't ask me why they are different. One of the mysteries of life.

Guys the forum will do both. If you want to upload an image hit the camera icon on the top left corner. If you want to upload an attachment click on the paperclip on the top right corner of the edit window. The two work differently. If you choose the image option you can use your camera directly or upload from photo album from your phone or tablet.

Thanks. I'm feeling old! I used the picture button that is in the main row of options when replying

              • Pixie au: under the forums is the "mark channels read" which will do what you were asking I think

                • I quite like the new look of the forum, compared to the previous vBuletin version.
Biggest likes for me are the ability to upload pics directly to the forum, as well as the Notifications and Message Centre. Good work to the admin team.

Oooh yeah. Very irritating it is.

But don't hold your breath. I suggested the change months ago.

                          • With forum links using the old forum address, how long until these no longer redirect to the same place on the new forum?

There will be loads of good info stored on the forum within topics/threads that are super useful but unusable due to the redirect no longer working (if that will ever happen).

And whats the solution if the redirevt from old links old links no longer work?

                            Cheers

                            • When I check the forum on the iphone using safari, the 3 line menu button has disappeared, now there is no way to click on new posts. Started maybe a week ago.

The iphone app is a bit jittery when I scroll sometimes, finding it a bit weird to get used to.
