    My leaf-sprung 2.6 petrol SWB has a standard rear diff (4.875 ratio). I am told that the LSD was an option for both SWB and LWB, 2.6 petrol and the V6 engine MK1 trucks. Has anyone swapped out the standard diff for an LSD and is it a straight swap i.e. drive shaft etc is unchanged? Apparently there were large and small diffs/axle - what is this all about? Does anyone know where second hand LSDs can be found in Brisbane (having trouble finding one)? Last question - what should I look for in a diif to see if it is in good condition?
    2006 Gen 4.1 LWB NS Pajero, manual. Bilstein Lovel 1” suspension, Dueller 697 17” tyres, Boos bash plates (3), Icom UHF with foldable roof rail mounted aerials, MM nudge bar with Stedi light bar, Rhino Rack Xtray, Kings awning, Kluger cargo barrier, custom iPad bracket, Alpine amplifier, Fosgate speakers, Titan drawers, battery system in the rear footwell, Matson BT battery monitor on starter battery, TP-13 TPMS. Mostly a commuter but ready to go for most adventures

    hey, i sourced a rear lsd in the 4.8** ratio from Brisbane 4wd & Commercial Wreckers in Hemmant.

    Not sure about how easy it was to install as i paid 4x4 excellence to do it, $190
