Pajero NL 2.8Auto's

Hey guys. Just wondering why Mitsubishi Aus never had an auto option on the NL 2.8 diesel range? I've herd that Aus is to hot for the auto box?
Yet importers are bringing in Auto Delca's by the ship full!!!!

Has anyone ever tried an manual to auto swap with any success?

Too hot ? Here ? For an auto ? No hotter than parts of America and they drive them all over the place there....and I thought others might hook 'round in S. Africa but most are infatuated with Land Rover so maybe not many have Powershift Pajeros.

If there are cooling issues find a way to fit a big cooler behind the grille and that should solve the issue.

Wouldn't be a bad little project man. to auto, be a bit of measuring involved prior. Don't see a reason why it couldn't be made to retrofit.
