Gotta replace the whole pulley. I replaced mine on the NP when it started squealing and the new one squeals just as bad after a couple weeks....arrrgghhh. Oh well....a shot of WD-40 every once in a while solves that....just a pain the arse to do and an annoyance.03 NP, 34" tires, Fully skiplated, Custom rocksliders, custom winch mount, OME HD springs/shocks, and Aeroflow exhaust, Locked Front and Rear.

It hit my pulley with silicone sparay, never had a squeak since.Have a Gunmetal Grey NS V6 Exceed. Already raised with lovells, Poly airs, Colour coded ARB bullbar, Sidewinder Dual Batteries, WAECO CF50.... Just moved to Perth, wife and 2 girls and a bloody big boy dog.

mine squealed a bit used silicone spray now no noise however it has some play in it backwards and forwards about 5mm Is this normal?Originally posted by john_char View PostComment

Not sure what pulley you are refering to, but on the NL I had squealing for a while, I blamed on pulley, then bought to my senses by an aquaintance to replace fan belts, fixed problem.

forgot to mention this, my newer NP DID had a "squeaky" engine until I replaced the fan belts on it too (93K's) (air con and 2 alternator)

My belt tension pulley started squealing at 3000 miles, someone told me about the silicone spray and it worked like charm, never had a problem ever since.Last edited by archebald23; 02-12-09, 09:49 AM.Comment
