  • 2005 NP Pajero Boost Replacement Hose????? Does anyone know where to get one?

    Hi members

I've just noticed a massive split in the Boost Hose and my mechanic will happily replace it but he cant find one from his suppliers. Apparently they aren't available any more. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure if I'm calling it the right name but I've wrapped rescue tape around it (see picture)

    Thanks in advance

    Craig

That’s an intake pipe. Yes it’s under boost at times. eBay would probably be your best bet on this one. You’ll probably find a silicone replacement unit.

    Cheers

I think you can find that using the car's VIN on a site like https://partsouq.com/ and go to the intake section, something like this:

With the partnumber you may find a replacement, maybe even a cheaper 3rd party one...

We had this exact same issue with our NP, we had our fabricator mate make us one from stainless steel pipe and some silicon joins. If you were based in WA I could gladly redirect you to him but being over East I'd recommend you seek a local welder/fabricator (or someone who makes exhausts etc.) and see if they can fashion something similar for you.

          Thanks Bitbuni
im really struggling to find anything.
I honestly thought the members here would have some contacts somewhere on the net.
I even went to a racing mechanic that specialises in turbos who couldn’t help or offer any suggestions.

No worries Reados, maybe try and find someone who does custom Exhaust/Snorkel/Airbox/Intercoolers. I'll ask my mates if they know of any good custom guys over that way. Wishing you luck mate!

Hi there Reados, have you tried Mosons Turbo Centre in Coopers Plains or possibly even Beaudesert Exhaust? My son just had some custom snorkel (two snorkels for each side...please don't ask why!! ? work done on his 2014 Hilux at PHAT Bars in Brisbane so a few options for you.
Is this a weak spot on our NP diesels as I wouldn't mind upgrading before a big trip so happy to possibly get one if you can find someone to make it....I hear group buy!
Cheers and keep us in the loop please Ben

Will do Ben. I've found a US site that sells OEM parts and has MR404757 but currently doesn't ship to Australia. I've sent them an email and am awaiting their reply. Will let you know when I hear back from them.

                Cheers

Sorry I don't mean to hijack the thread but is this a common replacement part or is Craig just having a bad luck part and also the place was called Motsons Turbo as I mispelt? Cheers, Ben

                          Hey there KeithyV

I visited this site early in my search and the part MR404757 is not available. Otherwise I would have purchased.

                          Thanks anyway

                          I'll keep trying

That's extremely kind of you. My mechanic has one last avenue for a new OEM part but if this fails i'll be in touch.

                            Cheers

                              Hi again Ben

I initially contacted Mitsubishi directly as I thought this would be a common part that would need replacing. Apparently not. I was told that Mitsubishi aren't making or supplying these hoses any more. I asked whether they knew of an after market supplier but no suggestions were provided apart from "talk to my mechanic". Unfortunately my mechanic has had even less luck than what I've had which is why I thought someone in the Pajero Club forum would have an idea.

Its looking more likely that I'm going to have to get something custom made unless my mechanic comes through with one last contact.

                              Will keep you informed.

                              Cheers
