I did note that Triton and Challenger wheels have lower offset, generally around ET38, most likely due to their thinner oem tire (245), minor track increase for pajero's (+16mm).
There have also been reports 4piston caliper clearance issues with NS+ models.

Note: Also suits other models, ie. Lancer and Outlander of similar Era.

    Just a clarification;
All Australian delivered PB & PC Challenger's had factory fitment of either 16x7 P38 wheels with 265/70R16 tyres or 17x 7.5 P38 s with 265/65R17 tyres.
All Australian delivered Pajero Sport's had factory fitment of 18 x7.5 P38 wheels with 265/60R18 tyres,
Some PB/PC Challenger and MN/MQ/MR Triton 17x7.5 P38 wheels will fit on the Pajero Sport but front brake caliper clearance needs to be checked.

P46 offset wheels from Gen 4 Pajero's will not fit the PB/PC Challengers or Pajero Sport.

All wheels have 67.1mm bore diameter and 6 x139.7mm stud pitch.

I read the information incorrectly re triton offsets, it was indeed 38 for triton and 46 for pajero's.
but couldn't really confirm if pajero's ever had 16x6.5 +46 steel wheels in Aus.

This is where i found the tritons with +46et in 16x6 steel wheels, but i'd assume that would be for the 2wd utes?
If only they had pictures of the actual wheels, it would have been prefect.

Fitted the 5spoke MN 17" Triton Wheels on the NP Paj with no issues (See post #10 for various photos of wheels fitted to NM/NP).
Would assume the fitment issues would apply NS+ Paj with larger 4piston calipers

                paid $150 for a set of 4 with rwc 265/65r17's HT's

Once the MQ multispoke 17" wheels come down in price, i might swap over.

Why bother with Triton wheels on the pajero?
OEM wheel fitment (ie. hub centric, can using existing mitsubishi mag nuds, etc), lightish weight alloy with minor track increase in most cases by 8mm.
Cheap (well, the older models anyways)

                Cons
OEM triton tire size to small (good to get a set with no tyres or needs to be replaced, was lucky to find one fitted on a pajero).
Doesn't look as cool as negative offset
Some won't fit over 4piston brakes (If you plan to do the NS+ 4piston conversion)

Best to contact your local road authority for clarification if you have concern over changing wheels.

Not all factory 17” alloys from MNTriton/PB PC Challenger will fit NT Pajero onwards, NT LWB and all NW & NX Pajero’s have larger front brakes so a check fit for clearance is required.

                      Slight update

Some Toyota Hilux's run 17x7.5 +30 wheels in steel and alloy.
Hub centric adaptors can be found on ebay for $20-30 for the alloy wheels.
32mm increase in track for a pajero and 16mm for tritons, well with in the allowed 50mm track increase for Vic (see vsb link below)

                        Hilux wheels:
There are are some 2006+ Toyota Hilux, Prado and Fortuner wheels with 17x7.5 +30et 6x139.7 106.1cb in alloy and steel. Fj Cruisers have a similar allow wheel but +15et.
Note: most are 16" and some 17x6 +50et wheels, so make sure the wheel size is checked. Toyota share the same m12x1.5 lug nut thread, so the those mag/shank type lug nuts for alloy wheels should bolt in but will need a metal hub centric spacer (VSB14/AS 1638?). Not sure if the Mitsubishi mag nuts are compatible with Toyota wheels and viseversa.
