  • Mechanic south of adelaide

Hi guys, finally got back in a paj just bought a NP 04 auto Diesel Exceed with 112k on it. looking for a trusted mechanic south of Adelaide to check it out. I say trusted bought from a Toyota dealer who did oil change before sale but overfilled it by at least half a litre, luckily I checked it when I got home. Also noticed it feels a bit floaty in the front over 60kmh round bends any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry about the Floating, mine was the same, much worst than my old NM I had. Must be the weight of the Diesel and Bull Bar.
NP 05 Platinum Edition, 3.2 DiD Auto, Extra H/D 50mm Kings, Garmin GPS, Waeco 40, Turbo Smart Boost Gauge, Lambwool Covers, Kumo Tyres, Rock Sliders Pending, Surrey Downs Adelaide Sth Aust.

Nice score there mate, do you mind if I ask which Toyota dealer you got it from ? If the service history is good, than a few things like the rear arm bushes and front anti roll bar 'd' bushes are something to look at.you have your 3 month used car wty. So worth getting an inspection done on it. Are you an raa member ? Try down south car repairs, o'sullivan beach rd.

I have an 03 NP 3.2 DiD & dont have any sensation of float. I do keep my tyres about 3 psi above recommended if that makes a diff.
Make sure get a torch & mirror, or inspection camera, & look through the oil filler at the chain guide. Get it replaced under wty if there is ANY SIGN of wear.Look up the many threads on this under Timing Chain GUIDE.

I have been going to Perkins Auto Repairs at Mc Laren Vale for years and he is great. Had a problem recently and he went to extremes in research to fix my problem and no issues since.
              Cheers Richard
