  • Reverse Camera Install

Heres a tip for installing an aftermarket reverse cam. Stuff trying to pry every interior plastic away (especially at the rear) for running cables.

Theres a rubber grommet up front under the driver's foot to run the cable outside & under the car, where you can run it under the floor to the drivers side rear wheel arch under the plastic and screw the camera above the towbar. Works a treat!!

Good tip. I tried running mine out the back without removing trim. Couldnt get it, but had my paj at the auto sparky and he did it for me.
I mounted my camera some spot. Makes backing up to the camper easier.
    Cheers,
    Andrew.

Yeah, this is great advice. I've only just found this post today, after I'd found the exact same spot you're talking about and used it.

      So easy...

      Have attached some pics.

Also, have included a pic of where I located my camera...

I wanted my camera low to get items that might be tucked in close to the car (like kids toys, and kids) I wasn't so concerned about towbar hitching.

Mine is mounted in the rear door handle.......mounted up high......but still catches the rear tyre in view.....it also has plugs to connect to caravan rear camera too

a towbar specialist fitted mine......the monitor is a clip on over interior mirror....is on all the time not just in reverse
