  • Instructions for posting photos

Hi all, I've had a couple of questions on how to post photos on this forum. Thought I'd give some instructions for anyone who was a bit stuck.

First thing you need to do is setup a web album of some sort. The one I use is http://www.photobucket.com. It''l take you 5 minutes to setup an account (free) and you're ready to go.

Next step is to resize your images. The size I have been using is 704(w) x 470(h) pixels. You can do this in Paint (if you're running a windows computer). Just open the image in Paint, go to the image menu up the top, and select 'attributes'. Then you can enter the dimensions you want. Make sure you select pixels as the unit. Alternatively you could use PhotoShop or some other photo editing program if you have one. Once you've done that, save the resized images to your computer.

Now go to http://www.photobucket.com and log into your new account. In the upload section, use the browse buttons to locate your resized images. There's three slots available but if you need more, click the 'add more' button. Once you've selected all the photos you want to upload, click 'upload'.

Once this is done, scroll down and the photos should be in your album. To show them in the Pajero forum (or any other forum for that matter), simply cut and paste the text in the 'image code' box for each photo you want to show into your post in the forum.

This sounds a bit long winded but it really is simple to do. Once you've set up your photobucket album it's just a matter of uploading new images as you take them and cutting and pasting the image codes.

If you get stuck, let me know.

    Cheers, Sam.

Well done Sam, the forum already has a Photobucket account setup here http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l28/paj4wd/. Obviously you will have to PM me for login details. Might save a few people setting up an account.
