    had 30,000k service done

oil change and fuel filter only by the book (no tappet, done at 15k)

$564.95 for a lousy oil change. $240 for labour to do a 1/2 hour oil change and insp of fluids!

told them i will not be back, my merc and touareg are cheaper than that by $250!! for a std oil change.

When is the first major service then? 45,000k???

If it is a minor service then I guess it is expensive.........but then I have always had Landrovers and I reckon $500 was the cheapest service I had ever.
          thanks,

            Matthew,
Your experience shows there is considerable differences in servicing costs between dealerships. I recently sold a VW Golf (2006) because of the ridiculously high servicing costs / poor reliablity & dealer servicing, however my Pajero is looked after by Bill Lilley Mitsubishi in Queanbeyan and the service is excellent and the average service is around $185 -$275. The most expensive service is around $750 -$850 for the 100,000 km+ service.

Matthew, don't know were you are located but I would not go back either.
From what you have described for a standard service with oil and filter change that price is way over the top.
My dealer quoted me $260.00 for a standard service, with the oil only quoted at $150.00 that left $110.00 for labour and oil filter.

That type of pricing is a joke!!

The problem is "he looks rich"!

I got an interim oil change done the other day.
I supplied the oil and they changed it, provided and fitted a new oil filter and inspected all levels, brakes and tyres for $65 (I'll scan in the service sheet/invoice and PM it to you if you want to show your dealer or take it up with MMA).

Here it is (I'll PM you the dealer) - it seems they did not charge the $40 or so for the oil filter, but the price is consitent with the 15,000km service they did. Note I supply the oil.

                        And the 15,000km ones:

I like at the bottom of that first invoice when your next service is due ... 2011. Must be using good oil.

Sure, also read " whichever comes first ".
Cheap prices no doubt, but I can bet my left nut that the brakes weren't checked with wheels off at the intermediate service.
