  • Washer Bottle Leaking, Big Time???

I have noticed recently when I park my Paj in my fairly steep downward facing driveway, my windscreen bottle leaks, big time??
I guess because of the configuration of the washer-bottle, most of Pajeros manufactured in the last 10 years or so, would have the same problem, when going downhill?? I've made sure the lid is secure, but it still leaks, unless Its coming from elsewhere?? In the photo, this was only after about 5 minutes.

    Hi,
Mine does the same thing if I fill it right up, there isn't a seal on the lid, only occurs when parking with nose facing downhill.

    Cheers

even though no harm is done, try not to overfill the container or park on flat ground.

Yes, I hadn't noticed it before. But just had a service, so I guess they filled it up. There again Dolphin, I don't park it too often on my driveway slope (1:5)

Yeah it's not really a seal on the washer fluid bottle, more like a splash stopper.

Related story - first time I took my (new to me) Jeep offroad we did a steep climb. 2/3 of the way up the climb an orange warning light came on on the dash. Thought I had broken something as (a) it was orange (usually bad) and (b) it was a weird symbol. Some digging in the manual revealed it was the washer bottle level indicator - when the fluid level got low (or when you climbed a steep hill) the light would come on on the dash.
