Pajero 2018 Electronic compass issue

I notices todya morning that my electronic compass was struc and not moving, it looks like its not working, all other functions like date, temp, avg and barometer are fine, except the compass, please help how to get it fixed, my car model is Pajero 2018 3.5L petrol

Just run the recalibrate from the menu and it should sort itself out. Manual describes the process and you may have to drive in circles to reset it.

I had the similar problem in that it would freeze after a couple of hours operation. I suspect a heat related issue. The service dealer couldn't find anything wrong and I didn't pursue as its virtually useless anyway. It only does 8 points of the compass meanng any given indication can be plus or minus 22.5 degrees. I realise everything has to be digital these days but, for me, bring back the analogue floating ball which gave direction, elevation and tilt (only half kidding; TBL anyway).
