What are the symptoms of your problem? It might be better to go to a specific specialist depending on what is wrong (eg auto electrician, suspension, transmission, specialist).

I feel the cars mileage is low, then theres a big thud sound whenever i change the gear from R to D or whatever, and even when i use the Super Select modes i hear the same sound, the loud thud, and the gears never change while driving the vehicle, the light keeps flashing on the information display but when i stop the car, that is when the gear changes.

Might help if you can answer these questions to help narrow it down..

          1. Are you stationary when changing from D to R and vice versa (best practice is to only change from R - D whilst stationary) ?
          2. Can you drive off when in D and then progress through the gears, and back down the gears as you slow down without the noise ?
          3. Can you drive off when you use sport mode and select 1st then move through the gears up and down manually without the noise ?
          4. Are you using 2H or 4H (All wheel drive) or 4HcL (High range centre dif locked) or 4LcL (Low range centre dif locked) ?
          5. Where does the noise sound like it's coming from, gearbox, engine bay, rear of car ?
          6. Are you getting any warning lights on the dash ?
          7. What is the odo reading, why do you think the cars mileage is low for it's age ?
All the gear and some idea.....

Do not shift to 4HLC and 4LLC on hard surfaces. Only use 2H and 4H. You may have what is called diff bind. Where abouts in Mawson Lakes are you? I work there so can have a quick look for you.

Is the car still under New Car Warranty?
The Warranty and Service Handbook will have all the details. If unsure, or you don't have the book, phone a Mitsi dealer & they can check for you.
It is usually 5 years, but some had 7 years (from memory).
There is also a km limit - how many kms on your car?

By "low mileage", do you mean high fuel consumption? If so, what figures are you getting & what sort of driving do you do?

                  1) Yess i am completely stationary when i change the gears.
                  2) I am sorry, I didnt understand this question
                  3) No theres just one thud noise coming when i shift the gear from R to D and vice versa or even when i shit the gears on super select system.
                  4) I use 2H most of the time, but 4H during rains, never used 4HLC or 4LLC till now, cuz as i said its just a while since i got the car.
                  5) The rear of the car according to me.
                  6) Nope nothing
                  7) Well its just a 2015 + model and the odo reading is 100000+.

No warranty on the car, as its above 100000 kms already.
Yes i meant high fuel consumption, i genreally do highway driving.
On some sites people say the pajero can go 10000kms on a full tank of gas, but recenlty when i was driving to melbourne from adeilade, my fuel tanks light appeared just 80kms outside of melbourne. So on travelling 700kms the light appeared.
And genreally in city drivings the light appears between 590 to 650kms of travelling.
So i dont know whether this is normal or not?

You have a 2017 Pajero which has the gearing changes and DPF (diesel particulate filter) re-introduced. This causes it to use more fuel than previous Pajeros. In saying that, 700km when the light appeared is pretty good for it. It does not mean it is empty but should around 10L of fuel left. It also depends on how much headwind you had on the trip.

That range for city driving is also pretty much spot on for a 2017+ pajero.

When they say 1000+ highway kms, it entirely depends on the environment and traffic conditions.

The lighter you accelerate the better your economy will be, I reckon you would be pushing to get 1000km out of a tank unless you were sitting on 80kph unloaded with little to no headwind my 2015 NX gives me between 800->850 on the highway between Millicent & Adelaide cruising at 100kph with AutoMate Pro in memory 2 which keeps the torque converter locked 99% of the trip, if I sit on 110kph I get closer to the 800km, and use around the 85l for the whole trip.

Around town which is a mix of highway & shops I get between 750 ->800km per tank, best I ever got was 870km and that was sitting on 80kph, filled up with 80l at the next stop... Using fuel fill up data I am getting around the 10.5 - 10.7/100 so that would technically allow 840km but leaving only 10l in reserve with no room for variations on conditions or driving style.

I like most on here would recommend not letting the tank get below 1/4 so you're not picking up the crud in the bottom of the tank, also diesels don't like to be run dry, it can cause all sorts of issues that are very costly to get fixed, I fill at or before the 1/4 tank & usually fill it to the top of the filler pipe getting around the 66l in there.

Like everything I have said it is my opinion, some here may find different numbers to me.

If you bought the car in SA it will have 3 months 2nd hand car warranty under SA law, it would also of had the previous owners details on the A4 sheet that was in the car before you paid for it so you might ask the previous owner if there were any issues when they sold it, I bought mine with 164,000km and had any issues sorted before it ran out.

                          Good luck with it

Alright alright, exactly there is little less than a month left on the statutary warranty which is why i want to be sure that the car doesnt have any issues.
