Bolting the tank up was fiddly. I used a high lift jack to rest the tank on and for controlled lift. It's difficult reaching around the subframe to get the hoses and wiring hooked up. The install manual states to mount the tank "behind" the...Last edited by mahollin; 5 days ago.

The supplied new filler hard pipe to the aux tank was the wrong item. Back onto LRA and the correct one sent out.
Wrong pipe
Also the new filler had some rusty schmutz and oily residue to clean out

Next stage of the tank install was the piping. Here's the existing piping for reference:
That whole pipe assembly needed to come out. For the filler the the instructions say to enlarge holes to 8mm. This is due to the new twin...Last edited by mahollin; 5 days ago.

With the sudden hike in fuel prices it was time to bite the bullet and order an aux fuel tank. I was waiting for some more savings and for the water tank to be installed in the well as I might need access directly underneath. I thought there'd be a bit...Last edited by mahollin; 5 days ago.

Nevermind, I ended up doing away with the supplied bracket and making my own from some Bunnings brackets. Fitted the pump between a body support member and the foot well, using the existing bolts of the brake line, AC and heating hose supports. I'll...

Next the main battery was flat and wouldn't start the car one morning. And also it wouldn't charge properly, leaving us flipping a coin each time we wanted to use it. While I was taking it out I noticed the tray has broken so ordered a new piranha replacement....

Next maintenance item was replace the brake rotors, pads and hub/bearing assemblies on the front. In doing this job I noticed the boots on the tie rods were already deteriorating. OEM next time.
Front left was pretty good. Hub came...

I pilfered the battery controller from the NL and installed an ebay (aussie made) tray with a yellow top. Clamp bolts are too long and the thread doesn't go down far enough which means I have to keep the plastic buffer on the bottom of the battery....

Finally found some time to continue the thread. This is one of the earlier mods. Ultragauge MX. Mounted left side as the right side has a cable setup for a trailer reverse parking screen. Although now I have back seat drivers

LRA 60L on an NT transfer pump location?
Hi all, I'm currently trying to work out where to mount the transfer pump on an LRA aux tank on my 2011 NT LWB diesel. It came with a bracket which looks intended for somewhere, but the instructions just say mount in a safe place. Anybody with the LRA...
