  • I think maybe you misunderstand my third suggestion. Basically it means glueing the trim to the panel. Using urethane it's unlikely to ever fall off and removal will be difficult but, if that isn't a problem for you, then it's a viable solution.

  • Those clip head retainers are a constant source of problems. The primary issue is that, when originally moulded, the join is super thin. So, the retainer gets torn off very easily, especially by those not familiar with the technique to remove.
