An alternative use for a spark plug socket after you've converted to a diesel....

Assuming this link is up to date, it seems that fuel is now available at Tobermorey on the border, which greatly reduces the distance between fuel stops.

Similar behaviour to what you are experiencing would occur if there was a problem with the brake light circuit, such as a sticky brake switch.
You could check for improper operation while driving by having a buzzer (or a lamp that you can...

I have a Hayman Reese towbar and associated wiring but I would expect the configuration to follow that of the Mitsubishi install.
My power feed for the HR wiring and trailer 'ECU' travels from the battery (via a fuse) along the LH chassis...Last edited by Kingbrown; 4 days ago.

I haven't had to deal with a leaking power steering pump but concur with your assessment of a shaft seal on the way out. Unless the service person dribbled some oil on the pump. You could clean it up and then monitor to see if it gets any worse I guess....

Dicko, that's way too technical. Just do what a dealer did to a friend's 200 Series and plaster the seal in thick grease. True story....

Looking at the MM procedure for crank pulley installation on a number of different motors, three aspects are common to all:
a) cleaning and/or degreasing of specific surfaces of mating parts (crank, pulley, washer, bolt).
b) oiling...Last edited by Kingbrown; 1 week ago.

sharkcaver , I think you experimented with security screen door(s) as an improvised rack, a long while ago.
Did that work ok as an interim measure?

Drives me nuts when I see what's done to wet roads by people who insist on pushing through.
Different story when the place is inundated but in many instances it would only be a day or two before the surface dries out sufficiently for travel to...Last edited by Kingbrown; 1 week ago.

Quite simple really:
- Attach a small super magnet to a lightweight thread (cotton, string etc). My magnet was 10mm x 6mm x 3mm and thread was about 150mm long.
- Dangle the magnet in close proximity to the wire under test (try beforehand...

I've permanently bypassed the Inlet Air Temperature sensor and have inserted a fixed resistor in its place.
But . . . . .
If I had a plug-in module such as SPV or Munji and it was giving trouble then here's what I would do:

Great success here. Wiring fault was very close to the car's fuse box. Tracked it all the way using my magnet dangling on a string and a pulse of current through the wire.
Installers of wiring for bullbar appear to have stuffed up a joint,...

I think you'll get a wide range of answers to your question as so much depends on driving style and lading and the terrain being driven.
Try to compare reports of rear pad change at 40000km with mine that were changed at 141000km. I'm still...Last edited by Kingbrown; 3 weeks ago.

What about the limit of 1/n . . . as n tends to zero.
I know what my answer would be, and it isn't undefined.
Draw a graph of 1/ n and see what it looks like, especially for very small values of n....

During a recent trip to the northern Flinders, my PB's RH low beam headlight failed.
LH low beam was still working ok, implying that it wasn't the low beam relay or controls that were at fault.
There had been a flicker when I first turned...

warezwally, try measuring the voltage on your brake circuit when you operate the indicator. If it rises in sympathy with the flasher then an earth problem is quite possible.
As you've suggested, instead of the blinker current flowing directly...Last edited by Kingbrown; 4 weeks ago.
