Same. We do a lot of high country trips so the shorter antenna goes on for those times and the long whip antenna for our outback touring. They aren't expensive once you have the base, just change over as you need to....

Sounds similar to my recent issue with the SPV plug. It has been fine for about 6 years but then the Ultra Gauge kept showing a pending trouble code (I think it was the MAF sensor from memory) which was intermittent at first but soon became regular....

On a tar road it would have been obvious that something was wrong the minute they turned a corner. The car would have been jumping around and that should have been enough to alert them but you say they drive like that for 30klms? Sounds a bit odd to...

I'd keep them for resale value. Mine have been in a plasitc bag for 7 years but will go with the car just to enhance the options to sell....

Not installed but I have a 60L bladder which I can take away camping or leave at home. It rides on the floor behind the front seats and when empty it takes up bugger all room. I reckon that's better than a fixed water tank.

I see the specs on the new Ford Everest give it a towing capacity of 3500kg ! Yeah, right.

Same. I have a jerry holder on the back of the caravan but only fill it when absolutely necessary.

It was odd that he din't actually go in to the plus side of a WDH and how it actually does what it says, it distributes the weight back to where it should be whereas HD springs and air bags simply level the ride but don't distribute the weight.

I prefer to travel with my tanks full so the centre of gravity is considerably lower than if they are empty. I store it that way too.
I did use a WDH on my previous van but not this one. When fully loaded I've only got about 60kg left on...

Why not to use a WDH
Interesting video from our mate Cadogan about the forces on a WDH (Weight Distribution Hitch) when towing on uneven roads.
