I had similar thoughts regarding the ply bracing. Because I would like a few sections for storing different types of gear, I may as well use that divider for bracing. Hence why I thought lighter timber may well suite for what I'm thinking, and my tightarse...

Cheers guys. I'm actually thinking I could get away with timber for what I'm thinking. I'll suss it out a bit better.
Don't have capral near us, but do have other aluminium suppliers

No worries. Thought it might open up a few second hand options for you.
Funny what scrambler mentioned about the offset. My NL came with spare tyre that has Nissan on it, so I'm only assuming it's from patrol, but that sits fair bit further...

Just to note, patrol rims will fit and seem to be common. I gather most aftermarket steel rims have the patrol centre bore, so then will fit all 6 stud cars

There to go hey! From memory they still opened with 5v when I was cleaning them, but that was a while ago so I could be wrong

I've got injected lpg, and have tried to start it on emergency mode without using the immobilizer, and it hasn't worked. So you very well could be right in that they wouldn't have made it to simple. I've known of some other cars where the immobilizer...

I've been thinking about this one.
So, the immobilizer works by shutting off injectors apparently.
In my nl, I've got the immobilizer working with magnet wire wrapped around key, and then around ignition barrel, with non latching...

Gen 2 Captains chairs
Bought these fairly cheap thinking they would give me a bit more leg room in the NL. Didn't work out that way and now they're just hanging around.
I've left the free packets of four seasons lube in the rear pockets that came with them when...

Thanks pushbike. Nice set up that you have there. That gives me some further ideas to try working on.
In the comments people asked about fridge. I only use ice box currently, but I'm thinking of going to a fridge/freezer which should end...

Googling connect-it I came across a video by someone here on the forums, forgotten name though. Weight was much lower with that than his old frame out of timber, and being conscious of that it looks worthwhile. Just going to cost a fair bit more

Cheers. The holes are a good idea, mattress in winter out west is normal really wet underneath, when on the ground at least. Haven't done the car camping idea out there yet.
I like the idea of the led strip lights underneath also. Something...

Cheers. I was thinking luggage tie down was the most appropriate place for bolting it down.
I'm umming about what the make it out of. Timber will be easier, and if I have dividers out of ply for each section then it should be strong enough....

Raised platform in boot space
Hey all. Have an NL and I'm thinking of building a raised platform in the boot that will be the same height as the 2nd row seat laid down.
Plan is to be able to sleep in the car with the seats laid down (too tall to fit in with them raised...

Gee I wish I had his energy!! I don't mind him for some reason in other videos of his that I've watched. Funny though, he sounded a bit drunk in that vid...

Can confirm that rockauto is just the same as it's always been. Recent orders have been much faster than Australian eBay orders.
If buying through there, I stock up any small items/consumables that are cheap and coming from the same warehouse....

Yes, actuator bolts to those ones you've circled.
With the vacuum lines, the one with blue dots goes to the one sticking out up right hand side in your picture. The yellow dot hose goes to the other barbed end that points away from the camera...
